Gaibandha: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a suspected robber along with three foreign pistols and 15 bullets from char area in Fulchhari upazila on Saturday night.

Based on secrete information that a gang of bandits, led by its leader Rezaul Karim, were taking preparation to commit robbery in the char areas, a Rab team conducted a drive there, said deputy company commander of Rab-13 Habibur Rahman.

However, sensing the presence of the elite force members, the robbers fled the scene firing bullets towards the law enforcers, Habibur added.

Following this, Rab personnel chased the robber gang and arrested the mastermind Rezaul Karim along with three pistols and 15 bullets.

Rezaul was wanted in 22 cases, including murder and robbery, with different police stations.
