Devotee dies in 2nd phase Ijtema
Gazipur: A devotee died of old age complications at the Biswa Ijtema venue in Tongi on Thursday night, hours before the 2nd phase of the congregation of the Muslims began.
The deceased identified as Abdur Rahman, 60, hailed from Bogra, reports UNB.
Sources said Abdur Rahman fell sick and died at the Ijtema venue in the night.
Later, the body was handed over to the deceased’s family following a namaz-e-janaza after Fazr prayer on Friday.
The second phase of Biswa Ijtema, one of the biggest congregations of Muslims in the world, began on Friday on the bank of the Turag River in Tongi, Gazipur.
