Mild tremor jolts Bangladesh
Dhaka: A mild tremor jolted Dhaka and other parts of Bangladesh on Wednesday morning, as result of a 4.7 magnitude earthquake in India’s Tripura.
The tremor, measuring 4.7 magnitude, was felt around 10:50 am in the country, said Maminul Islam, meteorologist of Dhaka Met Office.
The epicenter of the 49-second long earthquake was in Tripura, India, some 75 kilometers east from the capital Dhaka, Maminul added.
However, no immediate report of damage or casualty was found immediately.
