Kushtia: Police arrested two drug peddlers from the campus of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Tuesday.

The arrestees are Mustafizur Rahman, about 25 years old, son of Nur Muhammad, a resident of Vazondanga area in Faridpur district, and M Sajol, about 20 years old, son of Mokbul Hossain, a resident of Anondanagar village in Jhenidah.

IU Police Station officer-in-charge Raton Sheikh sais on Wednesday morning that on secret information, a team of IU police conducted a drive on the campus and arrested the duo along with Yaba tablets and hemp,

A case was lodged against the duo, he added.
