Chittagong: The agitated locals torched a bus in Solosahar area of Panchlaish in the port city on Tuesday as it hit a motorcycle rider, leaving him seriously injured.

The injured motor cyclist, Selim, about 55 years old, is admitted to the Chittagong Medical College and Hospital, said assistant sub-inspector of CMCH police outpost Abdul Hamid.

The accident occurred around 8:00 am in the morning, he said.

A unit of Fire Service later doused the flame while no casualty was reported yet, said deputy assistant director of Chittagong Fire Service Md Jasim Uddin.
