OC among 3 sued for sexual harassment in Ctg

Chittagong: A case has been filed against three people, including Pahartali police officer-in-charge Ranjit Barua, accusing them of sexually harassing a woman in Chittagong.
The woman, a resident of Pahartali area of the port city, filed the case against them with the court of Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Rahmat Ali on Monday.
Additional deputy commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Muttaki Ibn Minan said the woman filed the case against the trio for harassing her sexually, beating her up and vandalizing furniture in her house, where they had forced their way in.
Later, the court took cognizance of the charges and asked police to submit a report related to the incident by March 28 after an investigation, that it ordered be led by an officer of ASP rank or above.
