Joypurhat: A court here on Wednesday sentenced an indigenous man to death for killing four people, including his son and mother-in-law in Panchbibi upazila in 2015.

The condemned convict is Sumon Hemron.

On June 21, 2015, in a fit of anger over the alleged extramarital affairs of his wife, Sumon Hemron hacked his own son, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and uncle-in-law to death at Bhimpur-Alapara in Panchbibi upazila.

After examining the records and witnesses, Joypurhat District and Sessions Judge Momtaj Parvin handed down the verdict.
