Gazipur: An eight-year-old girl was allegedly tortured and strangulated to death in Uttarpara area of Shreepur upazila on Sunday.

The deceased is Mousumi Aktar, daughter of Quoddus Mia.

On information, police recovered the body from their house with wound marks on neck and her private parts.

Victim’s step-brother Idris Ali was arrested for interrogation in this regard.
