BD-India foreign secretary level meeting 1 Feb

The issues of further expanding bilateral cooperation in various areas would be discussed prominently during the upcoming Bangladesh-India foreign secretary level meeting scheduled to be held in New Delhi on 1 February, reported BSS.
‘It’s not possible right now to say all the things that what issues would be discussed in the meeting... but, the matter of further expanding Bangladesh-India bilateral ties in different areas would be discussed in the meeting,’ said Spokesperson of Indian External Affairs Ministry Vikas Swarup on Thursday.
Briefing newsmen, he said that Bangladesh’s Foreign Secretary Md Shahidul Haque will reach New Delhi on 31 January and hold meeting with his Indian counterpart Jaishankar on 1 February.
Bangladesh’s foreign secretary will also meet Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj during his New Delhi visit, the spokesperson said.
About Bangladesh-India relation, Vikas Swarup said that excellent bilateral ties are existing between the two countries. The relation got a new momentum during the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Dhaka visit.
Bangladesh and India, he said, has implemented the land boundary agreement successfully and the areas of cooperation between the two countries would be further strengthened in the days to come.
