2 JSC examinees ‘commit suicide for failure’
Two Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinees, who failed to pass the examination, allegedly committed suicide in Satkhira and Sirajganj districts early Sunday.
In Sirajganj, Sanjida Sultana Srabonti, daughter of Md Shaheen of Charuruhita village of Sadar upazila and a student of Rasulganj Bohumukhi High School, reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the beam of the room with his scarf, said family sources.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Lokman Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.
In Satkhira, Shamima Akhter Sheuli, daughter of Sirajul Islam of Baganlata village of Kaliganj upazila and a student of Ahsanullah Pre-cadet and High School, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself on Saturday night, said Subir Datta, officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station.
The results of this year’s JSC and its equivalent examinations were published on Saturday.
