Sylhet: Rail communications of Sylhet with Dhaka and Chittagong resumed after four hours on Tuesday.

Rail service on the route remained suspended after a freight train derailed at Rashidpur in Habiganj at about 5:00am, said Shayestaganj Rail Station acting station master Abu Sayed.

He said a salvage train from Akhaura went to the spot and rescued the derailed train.

The rail communication resumed at about at about 9:00am.
