Accused in 28 cases killed in Jessore ‘gunfight’
Jessore: A suspected terrorist was killed in a ‘gunfight’ between two groups of terrorists at Swaranpur village in Monirampur upazila on Sunday.
The deceased is Raju Sarder, about 32 years old, son of Rabiul Sarder of Krishnagar Sardarpara village in Jhikargacha upazila.
Jamal Al Naser, assistant superintendent of Monirampur circle police, said being tipped off about a gunfight between two groups of terrorists, a team of police went to the spot around 7:10am and found Raju's bullet-hit body lying in a mustard field at the village.
Later, police sent the body to Jessore General Hospital.
Raju was accused in 28 cases, he said.
