Madaripur: A young man died of heart attack at Mollakandi village in Rajoir upazila on Sunday afternoon, hours after the death of his elder brother.

The deceased are Ujjal Bepari, about 25 years old, and his brother Tota Bepari, about 35 years old, sons of Sona Miah of the village.

Locals said Tota died of illness around 10am.

While the preparation was going on for his burial, Ujjal suffered a cardiac arrest around 2pm while wailing over his brother’s death.

He was taken to a hospital where he died later.

A pall of gloom descended on the village following the death of the two siblings who, according to locals, were friends to each other.
