Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina addressed the nation on Friday evening on completion of the fourth year in office of the second consecutive term of her government.

‘Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina started delivering her speech at 7:30pm on Friday on completion of the fourth year in office of the second consecutive term of her government.

She gave a detail account of her government's development achievements in various sectors including GDP, export reports, remittance, new establishments etc.

The address was aired simultaneously on Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar as well as on private TV channels and radio stations.

On this day in 2014, the Awami League that led the nation’s War of Independence in 1971 under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, formed the government for the second consecutive term after a landslide victory in the 10th Jatiya Sangsad elections.
