Abducted Rozina traced in Indian shelter home
Rozina Akther, a 12-13 year old sixth grader who was abducted from her house in Joypurhat, is now in the shelter home of Maldah district at Dakshin Dinajpur in India.
Family sources said, Rozina was abducted on 1 January from her house and later smuggled to India.
Rozina’s father Abdul Aziz, a betel leaf and cigarette trader, and a resident of Atpara railgate area (adjacent to Indian border) under Bagjana union of Panchbibi upazila in Joypurhat, filed a general diary (No. 143) with Panchbibi police station on 4 January.
A few days ago, Abdul Aziz came to know from different sources that his daughter was smuggled to India after abduction.
After contacting with some known people in India, he found out that Rozina is now in a shelter home of Maldah district in India after she was detained by police.
The father has urged the government to rescue the girl from the Indian shelter home.
He informed that he has filed appeals to the DSB branch of Joypurhat superintendent of police and other departments of the law enforcing agency.
