Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy suffered a low blood pressure and admitted to a hospital in Dhaka on Thursday.

Ivy’s personal secretary Abul Hossain told UNB that her pressure suddenly fell at around 3:00pm while she was at the Narayanganj Nagar Bhaban, reports the UNB.

Later, the mayor was rushed to Dhaka on an ambulance.

After preliminary check-up, she was admitted to Labaid Hospital, said Chief Executive Officer of NCC.

A medical board has been formed to observe her health condition.

She is out of danger and now under observation, said the NCC official.

Earlier, on Tuesday the NCC mayor sustained minor injury in one of her legs during a clash ensued over hawkers defying the mayor’s move of evicting illegal occupants from the footpaths in Narayanganj.
