Lakshmipur: Police recovered a body of a young man from a water body adjacent to Lakshmipur municipality terminal on Monday morning.

Sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station Omar Faruk said locals spotted the body in the marsh in the morning and informed police.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Lakshmipur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, the SI said, adding that miscreants killed him five-to-six-day back and dumped his body there.

The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained yet.
