2 held with 31 gold bars at Dhaka airport

Dhaka: Customs intelligence arrested two men carrying around 31 gold bars weighing 5.8 kilograms from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Thursday evening.
Keramat Ali, in his fifties, a resident of Feni, and Lokman, around 58 years old,from Kadamtoli in Dhaka landed at the airport from Chittagong by a Regent Airway flight coming from Bangkok, said Director General of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) Moinul Khan.
After they crossed the domestic flight point, a CIID team challenged them and recovered the gold bars worth 2.90 crore concealed in their dresses, shoes and mobile covers.
Later, the team detained the duo and handed them over to Airport Police Station.
