4 injured in CU students’ clash
Chittagong: Four people were injured in a clash between the supporters of two Pahari student organisations at Chittagong University on Monday.
The injured are Subinay Chakma, Newton Chakma, Amrit Chakma and Shohag, activists of the two organisations.
Campus sources said the clash broke out between the followers of Greater Chittagong Hill Tracts Hill Students Council backed by UPDF and Parbatya Chattagram Pahari Chhatra Parishad supported by Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati amity around 10:30am over a previous clash.
JSS activists first attacked the UPDF followers in front of the gate-2 of the university, leading to the clash.
The injured were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
CU Assistant Proctor Liton Mitra said action will be taken after investigation.
