Accused fled from court arrested

Rajshahi: Police arrested an accused, who was reportedly fled from court premises with handcuff on Tuesday afternoon, from Shahebbazar area of Rajshahi at night.
The arrestee is Ibrahim Marshal, in his thirties, of Shiroil area of the city.
Abul Hashem, inspector of Rajshahi Metropolitan Judge Court, said Ibrahim was accused in two cases filed with two police stations of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP).
Masud Hossain, a member of Bangladesh Police, produced him before the court in a case at noon along with three other accused.
He, however, managed to run away from the court with handcuff while the policeman gave attention to other accused.
Later, police arrested Ibrahim from Shahebbazar area of the city around 10:00pm, said Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Rajpara Police Station.
A case was filed against him with the police station in this connection, the OC added.
Iftekhayer Alam, a senior assistant commissioner of RMP, said they got a written statement from the police about how the accused fled from the court area with handcuff.
