Dhaka: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Sunday said the attack on Dr Muhammad Zafar Iqbal proves that the militant and terrorist groups are still active and they are unlikely to move back.

The minister came up with the remark while talking to reporters after visiting injured Prof Zafar Iqbal at the Combined Military Hospital here on Sunday.

‘No one will be spared if one patronises terrorist groups,’ he said.

People should support the government for fully destroying those who were involved in patronising the militant and terrorist groups, said Inu.

Prof Zafar Iqbal came under attack at Mukta Mancha of SUST during the two-day celebration programme, 'Robofight,' of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) department on Saturday.
