Dhaka: Director General (DG) of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Major General Abul Hossain has been withdrawn from his post and attached him to the Armed Forces Division in order to send him back to Bangladesh Army.

A notification issued by Public Administration Ministry on Wednesday sending back BGB chief to his parent force.

Signed by the ministry’s deputy secretary M KAzi Emdadul Islam, the notification said Bangladesh Army’s Officer Major General Abul Hossain has been withdrawn from his current position of BGB DG and sent back to Army.

The order will be effective soon, says the notification.

Earlier, Major General Abul Hossain was appointed as the director general (DG) of BGB according to the president’s order on 2 November, 2016.
