Verdict on 4 Noakhali ‘war criminals’ on Tuesday

Dhaka: The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 will pronounce judgment on Tuesday in a case filed against four alleged war criminals of Noakhali for their crimes against humanity.
A three-member tribunal bench, headed by Justice Md Shahinur Islam, set the date through a short order this morning.
The first tribunal on 6 February concluded hearing in the case, saying it would pronounce judgment of the trial any day.
The four war crimes accused are Amir Ali, Md Joynal Abedin, Md Abdul Kuddus and Abul Kalam alias AKM Monsur. Of them, Monsur is yet to be arrested.
Mohammad Eusuf, 70, was another accused in the case who died of cardiac arrest on May 19, 2016, and his name was dropped from the case.
On June 20, 2016, the ICT framed three charges against the four accused.
