Juba League activist shot dead in Chittagong

Chittagong: A Juba League activist was shot to death by miscreants at Purbobhujpur Mirerkhilbari in Fatikchhari upazila in Chittagong early on Sunday.

The deceased is Mohammad Harun, in his thirties, resident of the village.

He was actively involved in Juba League politics for long, local people said. 

Bhujpur Police Station officer-in-charge (investigation) Helal Uddin said being informed by locals, police recovered the body from a drain located nearby the deceased’s house and sent it to the hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police are investigating the matter, the OC said, adding that none was arrested yet in this connection.
