Mirza Fakhrul hospitalised

Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has been admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka as he fell sick.
BNP Chairperson Office’s media wing official Shamsuddin Didar said the senior BNP leader has been taken to United Hospital in Gulshan at about 10:00am on Monday.
He was taken to United Hospital after he complained of chest pain at his Uttara residence, said BNP vice-chairman AZM Zahid Hossain.
The BNP secretary general has been kept at the Coronary Care Unit of the hospital, he said.
Mirza Fakhrul is now under the supervision of cardiovascular specialist Prof NAM Momenuzzaman, Zahid Hossain said urging the country’s people to pray for his early recovery.
