A case was filed against publisher, editor of daily Naya Diganta and a Dhaka University teacher for publishing a write-up defaming Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Jabedul Ajam Masud, former president of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Chattogram city unit, filed the case with Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate court no-5 of Al Imran Khan on Wednesday, reports the UNB.

The accused are Naya Diganta publisher Shamsul Huda, editor Alamgir Mohiuddin and Dhaka University teacher of Marketing Department professor Morshed Hasan Khan.

Taking the case into cognisance, the court asked officer-in-charge of Panchlaish Police Station to take steps after investigation, said advocate Ibrahim Hossain Chowdhury Babul, lawyer of the petitioner.

BCL leader Masud said Professor Morshed Hossain Khan in his write-up published in the newspaper on March 26, wrote that Awami League leaders along with Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman fled away during the Independence War 1971.
