Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday predicted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind with hails at isolated places over the country in 24 hours ending at 9:00am on Sunday.

‘Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions with hails at isolated places over the country in 24 hours commencing from 9 am today,’ said a BMD press release, reports the BSS.

Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall slightly over the country during the period, the release added.

The maximum temperature was recorded 35.6 degrees celsius yesterday at Mongla in Khulna division and today’s minimum temperature 19.6 degrees celsius at Rangamati in Chittagong division.

The sunsets at 6.17 pm on Saturday and rises at 5.44am on Sunday in the capital city.
