Natore: Police arrested a director of a private hospital in Natore on Saturday night on charges of blackmailing a nurse after filming a ‘rape’ incident.

The arrestee was identified as Shafiul Alam Bablu, director of Al Sun Hospital at Boroharishpur area in the town.

Following the allegation of the victim, police arrested Bablu at night and seized the video, said Sikder Moshiur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Natore Sadar Police Station.

According to victim’s family members, hospital’s director Bablu recently called the nurse to his room and violated her and filmed the incident.

Later, he raped her several times threatening her to publish the video on internet.

At one stage, the victim informed her family about the incident and filed a complaint with the police station, the OC added.
