Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be honoured with the Global Women’s Leadership Award for her outstanding leadership in advancing women education and women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh, Asia and Asia-pacific region.

The award, a lifetime honor, will be conferred to Sheikh Hasina by US-based NGO Global Summit of Women in Sydney during her next visit to Australia, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali said at a media briefing on Tuesday.

The prime minister is scheduled to visit Australia from Apr 26 to Apr 28 at the invitation of her counterpart Malcolm Turnbull.
