Tea state security guard killed in Sylhet
Sylhet: A security guard of a privately-run tea state was stabbed to death allegedly by some young people following a brawl over grazing cattle inside the tea state at Fatehpur in Goainghat upazila of Sylhet on Tuesday.
The deceased is Pradhannyo Patro, in his twenties, of Jointapur upazila and a security guard of Gulni Tea State.
The victim had an altercation with Nizam Uddin and his sons as the cattle of Nizam entered the tea garden and started grazing in the afternoon, police said.
When the guard requested them to go out from the garden, Nizam and his sons stabbed Pradhannyo with a sharp weapon, leaving him dead on the spot.
Meanwhile, police arrested three people—Abdul Ahad, son of Nizam Uddin, Albab and Nizam’s wife Parina Bibi—in this connection.
