Police asked to maintain inter-service cordial relations
Dhaka: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Mohammad Javed Patwari on Sunday gave instruction to the police officials to perform their responsibilities maintaining inter service cordial relations.
The IGP gave the directive at a meeting held at the Police Headquarters in the city, said Assistant Inspector General (AIG-Media) of Police Headquarters Soheli Ferdous .
‘You have to behave professionally maintaining mutual respect with members of other forces during performing your duties,’ he said.
He said in case of any untoward incident, the situation has to be handled with patience remaining within the purview of law and rules. If any kind of inconsistency is observed, then the necessary steps will have to be taken after inquiry at the earliest, the IGP said.
Dr Patwari also instructed all the heads of different police units to inform the officer and the force about this.
Besides, the IGP also asked the officers to follow the instructions, which were earlier issued by the Police Headquarters, properly, the AIG (Media) said.
