Dhaka: President M Abdul Hamid will visit Tungipara in Gopalganj tomorrow to pay homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

‘The President will place wreath at the mazar of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu at Tungipara of Gopalganj on Monday afternoon,’ said President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin.

He is paying the visit 14 days after he took the oath of office as the head of the state for the second consecutive term.

Sworn in as the 21st President of the country on April 24, Abdul Hamid was scheduled visit Tungipara on April 26 but the programme was postponed on health grounds.
