BSF picks up 3 Bangladeshis at Thakurgaon border

Thakurgaon: Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) detained three Bangladesh nationals from Paria border in Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon early on Sunday.
The detainees are Shah Alam, in his thirties, of Taranjhuri village, Abu Sayeed, around 24 years old, of Horinmari Noyabasti village and Pobarul Hossain, in his twenties, of Notabari village in upazila.
Lt Col Mohammad Hossain, commanding officer of Border Guard Bangladesh battalion no 50, said that a BSF team detained the trio from an area adjacent to 385 no pillar on the border line around 4 am while they were trying to intrude into Indian territory.
Meanwhile, BGB sent a letter to the BSF for holding a flag meeting, he added.
