Dhaka: State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam has visited the Consulate General of Bangladesh in New York and underlined the role of the Mission officials in upholding the country’s image.

He also urged the Mission officials to work with a ‘team spirit’ during his interaction with them on Wednesday, said a Foreign Ministry press release on Thursday.

Consul General Md Shameem Ahsan and other officials of the Mission welcomed the State Minister.

While interacting with the Mission officials, he highlighted on the policy priorities of the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.  

Mentioning about the tremendous successes of Bangladesh at home and abroad, which have been recognized worldwide, Shahriar Alam felt that the Mission officials should always feel proud for being able to represent Bangladesh.  

The State Minister for Foreign Affairs is currently in New York in connection with an important UN event.
