17 Rohingyas held in B’baria
Brahmanbaria: Members of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) held 17 Rohingyas from Nayanpur Bazar in Kasba upazila on Thursday.
Those held include five men, seven women and five children, reports the UNB.
Maniruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Kasba Police Station, said the BGB men held the Rohingyas while heading towards Cox’s Bazar by CNG-run auto-rickshaws for meeting their relatives.
Later, they were handed over to police.
The Rohingyas will be sent back to Rohingya camps, the police said.
