Narsingdi: A man allegedly committed suicide after ‘killing’ his two children at Tulatoli Moholla in Raipura upazila on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Kajal Mollah, 35, son of Aziz Molla, his daughter Kakoli, 8 and son Sohel, 5, of the village, reports the UNB.

Local people found the body of Kajal hanging from a tree and the bodies of his children lying on the bank of a pond around 8:00am.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to hospital morgue for autopsy.

Delowar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Raipura Police Station, said Kajal might have drowned his two children to death and then committed suicide over frustration.

Quoting family members, police said Kajal, an auto-rickshaw driver, provided Tk 6.5 lakh to one Ruhul Amin, a  broker of Kishoreganj, for going to Kuwait after selling his ancestral land two years back.

Being cheated Kajal filed a case with Raipura Police Station against Ruhul last year but failed to get the court verdict in favour of him  due to lack of witnesses.
