People’s pent-up anger to explode in right time: Nazrul
Dhaka: BNP senior leader Nazrul Islam Khan on Tuesday said people will explode their pent-up anger at the government at a specific time.
‘People are observing how the government is snatching election victory using the law enforcers and administration,’ he said.
Speaking at a discussion, the BNP leader further said, ‘People are getting aggrieved observing the election manipulation and media reports and what are appearing on social media, including Facebook. They’ll surely explode their anger at a specific time.’
Doctors’ Association of Bangladesh (DAB) arranged the programme at the Jatiya Press Club demanding BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s release from jail and her proper treatment.
Nazrul, a BNP standing committee member, said their party is working on forging a national unity against the government as per people’s desires to hold a credible election under a non-party administration.
The BNP leader urged his party colleagues to get ready for a movement to defeat the government.
‘When we want to wage a movement, members of police, Rab and BGB stand as our opponents, not Awami League leaders and activists, as the current regime is not pro-people one,’ he observed.
Nazrul said it is not only that that government will not ensure treatment of Khaleda but also put its efforts so that she cannot remain alive. ‘So, we must get ready for a decisive moment to ensure the fall of the government and install a pro-people administration.’
