Bangladeshi killed in BSF firing along Thakurgaon border
Thakurgaon: A Bangladesh national was shot dead by members of Border Security Force (BSF) of India along Kanthaldangi border in Haripur upazila early Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Ali Hossain, 18, son of Mostak Ali of Beldangi Kathaldangi village, reports the UNB.
Locals said BSF troops from Nargaon camp opened fire on a group of cattle traders along the border when they went there to bring cattle around 4 am, leaving Ali injured.
Later, he succumbed to his injuries when other cattle traders were taking him to a local hospital.
LT Col Mohammad Hossain, commanding officer of BGB-50 battalion, confirmed the incident.
