Resist ‘killers’ to save country, says Inu
Dhaka: Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu on Monday urged all to resist ‘killers’ for saving the country as he said those who killed Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15 wanted to destroy the base of Bangladesh.
Inaugurating an exhibition on Bangabandhu organised by Press Information Department (PID) at the secretariat the minister came up with the remarks. State Minister for Information Ministry Tarana Halim was also present.
‘Those who celebrate birthday on August 15, they are people of distorted taste,’ said Inu.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was assassinated along with most of his family members at the crack of dawn on August 15 in 1975 by a cabal of army personnel.
The nation observes the National Mourning Day on August 15 with due respect, marking the anniversary of the martyrdom of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
