DU female student ‘picked up’
Dhaka: A female Dhaka University student was allegedly picked up by plainclothes men posing as law enforcers from the campus on Tuesday evening.
Witnesses a group of people, identifying them as members of a law enforcement agency, picked Sheikh Tasnim Afroz Emi, a Masters student of Sociology department and also a quota reform movement activist, up from in front of Shamsunnahar Hall around 7:00pm, reports the UNB.
Contacted, DU Proctor Prof AKM Golam Rabbani said he was informed about the incident.
He said the female student was taken for interrogation over her alleged involvement in ‘cyber crime’.
