A large number of residents of Satkhira, Laxmipur, Dinajpur and Chattogram districts are celebrating the Eid-ul-Azha in line with Saudi Arabia.

In Satkhira, many residents of Satani, Bhadara, Baukella, Mrigidanga, Mollikpara, Bhadukhali, Mahmudpur villages in Sadar upazila, and Islamkati and Sujanshah villages in Tala upazila, while a village in Kaliganj upazila are celebrating their Eid, reports the UNB.

An Eid jamaat (congregation) conducted by Maulana Mahabbat Ali was held at Baukhola village in Sadar upazila at 8:00am.

In Laxmipur, the residents of Noagaon, Joypura, Bigha, Dakhshinpara in Ramganj upazila, Kolakopara in Raipur upazila and Boshikpur, Purba Panchpara and Mohadebpur in Sadar upazila are celebrating the Eid.

The Eid congregations of the villages were held in their respective Eidgahs, mosques and open spaces at 9:00am.

In Dinajpur, around 2,000 people from Sadar, Chirirbandar, Parbatipur, Kaharole and Biral upazilas are celebrating the Eid.

An Eid congregation was held at a community centre at Bashuniapotti in the district town at 8:15am. Besides, congregations were held in their respective Eidgahs, mosques across the upazilas.

In Chattogram, thousands of people of 30 villages in a number of upazilas are celebrating Eid.

Many residents of Satkania, Lohagara, Boalkhali, Chandanaish, and Mirsarai upazilas are celebrating the Eid. The villagers participated in several Eid congregations in the district.
