Seven sued over Natore road crash
Natore: A case was filed against seven people over the fatal road accident in Baraigram upazila that left 15 people dead.
The accused are the president of Bonpara Human Hauler (Leguna) Owners’ Association, its secretary, owners and drivers of the bus and human hauler involved in the accident, and the helper of the human hauler.
Assistant Sub-inspector Yousuf Miah of Bonpara Highway Police Station filed the case on Saturday night with Lalpur Police Station, said Sub-inspector Tarikul Islam of the police station, also investigation officer of the case.
The accident took place when the Bogura-bound bus of ‘Challenger Paribahan’ from Pabna hit the human-hauler (locally named as leguna) carrying 15 passengers around 4:10pm, leaving 13 passengers of the human-hauler dead on the spot and 15 bus travellers injured.
The rest two succumbed to their injuries at a local hospital.
