Minor girl ‘raped’ by 75-yr old man in Brahmanbaria
Brahmanbaria: A 2nd grader girl was violated at Gojanagar area in Nabinagar municipality on Friday.
Victim’s mother Kulsuma Begum filed a case with Nabinagar Police Station on the day of the incident. Till Sunday however, police had still failed to arrest the main accused, although they have detained two people for interrogation.
According to the case statement, an elderly man Obaidul Haque, 75, grocery shop owner at Khajanagar area in the municipality, lured the girl, 7, to a small room at the back of his shop promising free chocolates and violated her there.
Hearing the girl’s cries for help, locals rescued her from the spot.
Meanwhile the accused is said to have gone into hiding since the incident, lending credence to the accusation against him.
