Netrakona: A fisherman who went missing on Sunday was found dead in a water body of Bhati Noapara village in Barhatta upazila on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Habibur Rahman Sheikh, 35, son of Abdul Hai Sheikh of the village.

Habibur went to catch fish in the water body on Sunday night but did not return, said Mejbah Uddin, officer-in-charge of Barhatta Police Station.

Locals spotted his body near a seedbed on Monday morning and informed police.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.
