Two bodies recovered in Satkhira
Satkhira: Police recovered the bodies of a woman and a man from Nagarghata and Jhorghachha villages of Tala upazila on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Mamtaz Begum, 55, and Gopal Gosh.
Quoting locals, assistant superintendent of police Apu Sarwar of Tala circle police, said Mamtaz’s daughter Tumpa Khatun had a brawl with her mother in the noon, reports the UNB.
At one stage, Tumpa hit her mother’s head with an iron stick, leaving her critically injured.
The injured was taken to Satkhira Sadar Hospital from where she was referred to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH).
She succumbed to his injuries around 7:00pm at KMCH.
Meanwhile, police recovered the body of Gopal from a water body near his house in the evening.
The body bore several injury marks on it, said the police official.
