Order on Amir Khosru’s plea against ACC notice Sept 16
Dhaka: The High Court will deliver its order on September 16 on a writ petition filed by BNP leader Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury challenging the legality of an Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) notice asking him to appear before it for facing interrogation over his alleged involvement in money laundering and amassing illegal wealth.
An HC bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice KM Hafizul Alam fixed the date on Tuesday.
Barrister Moudud Ahmed appeared for Amir Khosru while Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan stood for the ACC.
On August 16, ACC asked the BNP standing committee member to be present on August 28 for interrogation over his alleged involvement in money laundering and amassing illegal wealth.
On August 28, Khosru sought time to appear before the ACC while the ACC fixed September 10 as fresh date for his appearance before the anti-graft body.
