Road Transport Act to be placed in parliament on Sunday: Quader

Dhaka: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Wednesday said the proposed Road Transport Act 2018 will be placed before the parliament house on Sunday, September 16.
Minister made this remark while attending the 11th meeting of the Dhaka Road Transport Coordination Authority in the city’s Nagar Bhaban in the morning.
Responding a question, minister said ‘Some of the very important persons break the traffic laws and they would be brought under legal procedure. Lawmakers should not be law breakers. We all including roads and highway police have to follow the law strictly.’
Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) Chairman Md Abdur Rauf, Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Chairman Md Moshiar Rahman and some others were present in the meeting.
