Rajshahi: A farmer allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree at Katakhali, on the outskirts of the city, on Monday morning.

Local farmers spotted the hanging body of Mansur Rahman, 40, son of late EzazUddin and informed police, said officer-in-charge of Katakhali Police Station Nibaran Chandra Barman, reports the UNB.

Police later recovered the body.

The reason behind the suicide could not be known yet.
