Rajshahi: Police recovered hanging body of a female student of Rajshahi University from her rented house in Tikapara graveyard area of the city on Friday, reports UNB.

The victim Aroz Fatima, who hailed from Magura district, is a first year student of the department of agronomy and agriculture (Extension).

Sub-inspector of Boalia Police Station Selim Reza said Fatima along with her husband Rubel used to live at a rented house in the area after their marriage.

Rubel went to Bogra for job three days ago, the SI added.

Informed by the house owner, police came in and broke open the door of Fatima’s house at about 5:00pm and found the body hanging with the ceiling fan of the room.

Later the body was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

The reason behind the suicide could not be known immediately.

A case was filed.
