Nilphamari: In separate incidents, a teenage girl and a woman committed suicide while another found dead in different areas of Domar upazila on Saturday and Friday, reports the UNB.

The deceased were identified as Asma Begum, 22, wife of Khorshed Alam of Collegepara area, Shahana Akhter, 14, daughter of Amizuddin Sardar of Babupara village and Anita Rani, 30, wife of Pramod Chandra of Nimzkhana Hat in the upazila.

Locals said Asma Begum committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her bedroom after being reportedly tortured physically by her husband in the morning.

In another incident, Shahana Akhter committed suicide in her bedroom following a family feud as her father could not buy her books.

Meanwhile, police recovered the body of Anita Rani from her bedroom on Friday afternoon. The mystery of the death could not be known, police said.

There separate cases were filed with Domra Police Station.
